Having read Alan's post and having been on the Daunder, I think I am well placed to pass judgement on the accuracy or otherwise of the comments and the post. I can say with confidence that there was a significant degree of accuracy in the reporting until the moment when Phil and Alan ignored advice and left the path to search in vain for a suitable camp spot.
