The wonderful John Hesp very kindly sent me some of his pictures of our overlapping Days One & Two on this year’s TGO Challenge. John has a magnificent site where he has written up three of his Challenges, with scrollable maps with text and pictures overlaid. You can find it by clicking HERE and then clicking on each of the routes on the maps to get to the relevant year’s report.
I thought I would share his pictures on here and add one or two others from the first few days. There are a few of me in here, from Andy & John – I never seem to take any pictures of me! Hover your cursor over the pictures for the titles. Click on them to enlarge them.
Okay, you might want to skip past the next two pictures of scantily clad gentlemen…
Then we finally got dressed and set off:
Well then, there you go: Pure self indulgence!
That's Emma Warbrick that is in that piccy with Martin, Lou and Phyl.
ReplyDeleteThank you Louise

I had even chatted with Emma too. It's an age thing...
At least it looks like Andy had the common sense not to wear cotton undies. I just wish that I did not know that though.......
ReplyDeleteKnowledge of a chap's shreddies and undercarriage problems is all part of life's rich tapestry on the Challenge.
DeleteWhen will you be back, James?
Back? I'm always here Alan, always here.
DeleteIf you are talking the Challenge, well I am thinking about next year..........
Well done Sir... The entry form will be in October's mag which will be out mid September.

Thanks for Picture No 4 mate!
ReplyDeleteDid I say Mate?
I am already getting fan mail coming in, requesting the full strength 7Gb image so the gurls can print out poster-sized pictures of you for their bedroom walls. I should charge for this service really...

That photo is too much at tea time! The post really should have warned at the top that it was not for the light hearted...
ReplyDeleteHi Lynsey:
DeleteMaybe I should change the title of the blogpost to "Hunk of the Month", or "Girlies' Challenge Totty".
(Psst! I shall send the full strength image by separate email in a plain envelope)
There are certain things that should not be seen on the web, and some of them are in this post.
ReplyDeleteThe gentleman doth protest too much, methinks...
DeleteI expect he's hankering after the royalties. Five copies sent out so far. (One to be printed out life size for next year's Thursday dinner at the Park Hotel, apparently... I think that's what the Dawg said...)
Those little googlebots which use your browsing history to send you tailored popups are now bombarding me with offers of 'undergarments for the physically active' and 'men of a certain age looking to make new friends'.
DeleteI don't believe I have ever received a tailored pop-up. They always look like the scruffy end of advertising to me.
DeletePhysically active though... It's all coming back...
You're right, I am a wonderful chap aren't I.
ReplyDeleteWhen I said I'd pay you for referrals I didn't know you'd be putting two links to my website. I notice from that thing that counts the site visits that there have been eight visits this month already!
Ha! Rich! Rich beyond my wild dreams!
