I am delighted to announce the arrival of LUCA JOSEF SIMEONE.
Congratulations to Rachael & Rod. Luca came into the world yesterday evening at 8:05pm. He is a healthy young man, weighing in at 9 lbs 6 ozs. Both Rachael and Luca are doing well. Time keeping is obviously not Luca’s strong suit as he arrived five days later than expected!
I now have a Grandson, a cousin for Lyra.
Congratulations Grandad!
ReplyDeleteYes. Indeed. A Grandad twice now. I think that's enough. There's no need to gild the lily. I shall have words with the offspring.
Delete:-)
Being late should not a problem for you after walking with Mr. W.
ReplyDeleteYoung Mr Walker occasionally pops over and reads this, Willem! He was quite a bit better this year. In fact, he was ready before me some mornings!
DeleteAnd, Luca is worth waiting for.
:-)
That was a bit harsh Willem.
DeleteYou've been reading too much into Al's reports.
He exaggerates you know.
Anyway, he kept expecting to start before midday :-)
Congratulations, Alan! Happy days! He'll wear you out, for sure. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I'll be still up the Challenge in 18 years time... I'll be a sprightly 75 by then...
DeleteOf course you'll still be up to the Challenge, it's what you do!
DeleteOh, and congratulations grandad grandad, but I'll have you know my wonderful granddaughter over in the States has just informed me I'm shortly to become a Great Grandad - for the third time - so just hoping I'll survive the celebrations! Any tips?
Don't take any water with anything. Disgusting stuff. Stay pure. Stay cask strength...
DeleteGreat grandad Great Grandad Great Grandad eh? Wowza!
That is quite a large baby that is.
ReplyDeleteGrandpa x 2.
Where will it end :-)
It is a large baby! Rachael did well carrying the little monster for so long!
DeleteCongratulations, Grandad Grandad. We hope they keep on coming!
ReplyDeleteM&S
Grandad Grandad yourself!
Delete:-)
(and Grandma Grandma too, of course!)
Congratulations Alan. Have you put him name down for the TGO yet?
ReplyDeleteLuca's Mum said she'll do the Chally... Mind you, that was a little while ago and she might be a little busy for the next few years now...
DeleteSplendid news. Congratulations to all...and a grand welcome to Luca Simeone!
ReplyDeleteJJ
Cheers, JJ
Delete:-)
Can you imagine the no of applicants by 2030?
ReplyDeleteMind you, Scotland will be concreted over by then.
The Challenge will need to be in another country.
Maybe another planet :)
"Mind you, Scotland will be concreted over by then."
ReplyDeleteNot if every Challenger carried a monkey wrench, it wouldn't...
I'm taking Semtex next time.
DeleteOh bugger, MI6 and the CIA follow this blog don't they!
Well done, have a pipe and some slippers (and a fine malt)
ReplyDeleteAfter a fine malt I shall smoke the slippers and wonder what on earth to do with the pipe.
DeleteConfused
Berkshire
Congratulations Alan, your family seems to be busy will you are away driftin'rond the hills.
ReplyDeleteRolf
They obviously have too much time in their hands.
DeleteI shall have a word.
:-)
Congratulations, Alan. Does this mean you'll be sent a baby-carrier type rucksack for review purposes now? Gortex booties? Ultra-lightweight folding crib?
ReplyDeleteI was rather hoping to be sent a crate of something sparkling and very dry to review, for the celebrations.
DeleteOr, maybe GoreTex booties in size elevens, perhaps?
One lives in hope...
Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI bought a Deuter Comfort 2 child rucksack carrier for my first granddaughter a month or two ago. It is a very well made item, but I reckon it weighs empty more than most people carry on the TGO.
With your knee? Heroic, Sir!
DeleteNo knighted gentleman me. So far I have let my daughter carry it.
DeleteThis is very wonderful. Congratulations to all!
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear thing!
Delete:-)
Deep joy, felicitations to all concerned. Following the nephropathy story, we'll drink to celebrate a successful outcome sometime soon, somewhere cold and caledonian.
ReplyDeleteHi Jim
DeleteI'll drink to that!
:-)
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Missy!
DeleteStill grinning, here.
:-)
Best medicine x
ReplyDeleteSpot on.
DeleteGrinning and laughing beats all the prescriptions from all the doctors under the sun!
My first grandchild, Katie was born 10 months ago - she has just started walking. Mother would not subscribe to the conventions of pink for a girl, and from your photo it looks as though similar minds may be at work. Congratulations to all, and I'm sure you will have much enjoyment in watching, and being involved in developments.
ReplyDeleteYou don't think he'll turn into a............ Liberal Democrat.... do you???
DeleteI shall have to have Luca for summer holiday breaks to start the indoctrination early!
The answer to your question may lie in the "nature" or "nurture" debate, and it looks as though the latter may already be under way. If the swaddling had been red you may not have been sure how far to the left things were going.
