George & Ben's plan was simple - to get from Land's End to John O’Groats, by foot or by bike, without spending a single penny. The reason for doing it was to prove that hospitality and generosity is alive and well amongst the people of Britain.

Well, to see if they made it, click on the link:

  1. Hi Alan
How's about getting a data base of Challengers through out Great Britain who are willing to put any one up for the night if they are doing the LEJOG. That way you could cut down the cost.

  2. Nice idea, anonymous

And perhaps something to sort out after I have done the walk! (I think that might take a bit of planning, but I am quite happy to do it on my return.)

However, if you think about it, most peole actually live in towns, and so not, I would imagine that not that many Challengers will live ON a proposed LEJOG route.
