Bridging the gap

There was a day to recover from helping Oli & Nicole move house. A couple of pints in Dalham followed by the Three Churches Walk – an old favourite. Here’s a couple of snaps that look at ways of bridging a gap.

    1. In a past life I worked on a few Geodetic roofs (my favourite being one thought to have been designed by Barnes Wallis, at the Ford plant in Swaythling) They are wonderfully elegant solutions for large clear spans.

The British Museum's Great Court roof (Norman Foster) is also particularly attractive.
